Agnac Vacances is equal distance from the Dordogne river to the north, Garrone to the south west and Lot to the south east, all offering a variety of water borne activities from motor launch cruises to day long canoe trips.

Along the river there are many castles worth visiting such as Chateau des Milandes (the site where Josephine Baker used to live), Beynac, Domme etc.

Views of the local countryside vary from month to month with the changing of the seasons, from the blossoms of the fruit trees in spring through the sunflowers in summer and the beautiful colours of autumn.

Agnac is in the middle of the vineyards of the Côte de Duras wine-region and winetasting is possible at numerous winehouses.

The area has a rich collection of charming bastide towns such as Eymet, Monsegur, Bergerac, Villereal and Monpazier dating back to the middle ages and the so-called ‘Guerre de cent ans' or The 100-year War.

The valley of the Vézère river to the north, is world famous for its prehistoric sites and caves (Lascaux, les Eyzies). Eymet, Duras and Issigeac have lovely weekly markets, offering local produce and arts and crafts.

During July and August the traditional medieval banquets are held in the town squares.

Miramont (8km), Marmande (25km) and Bergerac have
spacious supermarkets with a wide variety of food and nonfood products. The old town of Bergerac is well worth visiting.

We are approx 520 miles from the Roscoff, Cherbourg and Caen.
