Situated in 2.5 acres of safe, established and enclosed gardens there is a wide variety of fruit tress, evergreens and traditional hardwoods including 5 species of oak.

There is an abundance of wildlife for the nature lover ranging from European Red Squirrel to Jays and a variety of other wildlife.

The house dates from the mid 1850’s and is a traditionally country “maison” with attached barn typical of the architectural style in this region of France.

The holiday accommodation occupies the 3 bedroom east wing of the house which was the original living quarters, the current owners live in what was originally the barn.

Renovations by the previous French owners have been carried out to the highest standards whilst maintaining the traditional French country house style with beamed ceilings and tiled floors whilst encompassing the necessities of modern living. The accommodation is fitted out to high standards emphasising the desire to provide comfort and quality for all our guests.

The 12 x 6 metre swimming pool is fitted with safety alarms which comply with the latest French legislation. The shaded outdoor kitchen/dining area faces the pool and is fully equipped, including; fridge/freezer, gas hob, hot and cold running water, with quality outdoor dining table and chairs sufficient for eight people. There is also a gas BBQ and traditional wood fired pizza oven.

There is additional outdoor table, chairs and parasol on the patio adjacent to the salon which is ideal for a leisurely breakfast.

On the ground floor is a large (9m x 4m) twin aspect fully equipped dining kitchen (including traditional wood fired bread oven), which leads through to the dining salon and provides access to the first floor bedrooms.

The Dining Salon (10m x 5m) has traditional exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings and a large wood burning open fire. 2 large, comfortable sofas and local oak furniture provide flexible seating and dining arrangements. A European satellite TV system and multi region DVD is provided for use if required. There is an extensive film collection which is available on request.

The three bedrooms allow a flexible combination to suit a variety of needs.

The two main double bedrooms have large comfortable beds, with extensive wardrobe
space and the third bedroom is furnished with a single bed and full size bunk beds; a cot and high chair are also available on rerquest.

All linens, bedding and towels are provided (including pool towels), and for stays over one week these are changed mid visit.

There is a large fully tiled bathroom with shower and separate toilet.

Bookings normally run from Saturday to Saturday but outside of the peak summer season (July & August) shorter breaks may be arranged on request.
